This was an ambitious promise to make, and the one on which the reputation of the sub-franchise would rest. From AI that could easily maneuver into unbeatable positions to an annoying rhythm that worked against most of the factions, player numbers dropped precipitously. While it was met with positive reviews and good sales numbers, the playerbase at large quickly grew frustrated with the flaws baked into its campaign.
